Good Grief

Josh Silver grew up on a farm in England's Lake District, before moving to Manchester with his family, where he spent his teenage years loving the city. He trained as an actor at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and went onto perform in the West End and on Broadway. After deciding to change careers, Josh now works with teenagers as a mental health nurse. Josh lives in Manchester, UK.

Gary Lonesborough is a Yuin writer, who grew up on the Far South Coast of NSW as part of a large and proud Aboriginal family. Gary was always writing as a child, and continued his creative journey when he moved to Sydney to study at film school. Gary has experience in youth work, Aboriginal health, child protection, the disability sector (including experience working in the youth justice system) and the film industry. His young adult novels, The Boy from the Mish, We Didn't Think It Through, and I'm Not Really Here have been shortlisted for numerous awards.

Megan Jacobson is a Brisbane-based YA and picture book author who's been shortlisted for many awards, including the CBCA, the NSW Premier's Prize and won the Australian Family Therapists Award for children's literature. She used to write for TV dramas and now works as an ABC news TikTok producer.

Darby Jones is the Editorial Assistant at Griffith Review and a bookseller at Cursive Knives. He is an alumnus of the black&write! Indigenous Writing and Editing Project and the Open Book Internship and has dedicated his career to diversifying the publishing industry.
