Join a community of readers and literature lovers and embrace all things BWF. Every year we present more than 150 leading writers from Australia and around the world to celebrate literature and explore ideas that matter.

Brisbane Writers Festival is a not-for-profit organisation that is 35% funded by state and local government, 40% ticket sales and 25% through private giving and philanthropy.

Our Festival Friends support BWF with annual gifts of $1000 or more. They play a pivotal role in sustaining the Festival, ensuring we can deliver a year-round program of events and a world-class literary festival. Your gift also allows us to expand our free events and bring more international authors to Brisbane.

Festival Friends receive a suite of benefits including discounts on festival and out-of-season events throughout the year.

All Festival Friend contributions are tax-deductible and acknowledged on our website and in our printed Festival Program.
