In 2018 Brisbane Writers Festival brings the future into focus, showcasing some of the world’s most influential thinkers, centered around the theme “what the world needs now.” Scheduled across 3 days of readings, debate, special events and more, BWF engages with scientists and researchers asking them what they think the world needs now and discussing the futures of our environments, oceans, and technologies welcoming talent from the science community in the likes of Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, Philip Hoare, Micheline Jenner, Lisa Harvey-Smith, Tim Dunlop and more.
