Balli Kaur Jaswal
Balli Kaur Jaswal is the author of five novels, including the international bestseller Erotic Stories for Punjabi Widows which was a Reese Witherspoon’s Book Club pick in 2018. She has held fellowships at the University of East Anglia and Nanyang Technological University, where she also completed her PhD in South Asian diaspora writing. Her non-fiction has appeared in the New York Times, Harper’s Bazaar India, Refinery29 and Salon.com, among other publications.
Dann McDorman
Dann McDorman is an Emmy-nominated TV news producer, who has also worked as a newspaper reporter, book reviewer, and cabinet maker. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
Jennifer Croft
Jennifer Croft won a 2022 Guggenheim Fellowship for her novel The Extinction of Irena Rey, the 2020 William Saroyan International Prize for Writing for her illustrated memoir Homesick and the 2018 International Booker Prize for her translation from Polish of Nobel laureate Olga Tokarczuk’s Flights. She is also the translator of Federico Falco’s A Perfect Cemetery, Romina Paula’s August, Pedro Mairal’s The Woman from Uruguay, and Olga Tokarczuk’s The Books of Jacob (a finalist for the Kirkus Prize).
Sarah Smith
Sarah Smith is a highly regarded TV drama writer and Executive Producer. She created Amazing Grace, Bite Club, Winter, Wild Boys and Rescue Special Ops, which won a Gold Medal at The New York Festival TV and Film Awards.
She wrote and produced the telemovie Dripping in Chocolate for BBC Worldwide. Other credits include House of Bond, The Killing Field, Last King of the Cross, Wanted, The Alice, All Saints, McLeod’s Daughters, Sea Patrol, and Bloom.
She is currently writing her second novel.
Adrian Todd Zuniga
Adrian Todd Zuniga is the host and creator of Literary Death Match; author of the award-nominated novel, Collision Theory; the WGA Award-nominated screenwriter of LONGSHOT (featuring Mahershala Ali); and director of the short film HOLD ME, DON’T TOUCH ME. He just moved to Australia, and is excited to become one of your best friends, and say yes to your house- and dinner-party invites.
