Brooke Blurton

Brooke Blurton

Brooke Blurton is a proud Noongar-Yamatji woman and broke records as the first Indigenous and bisexual Bachelorette for Network Ten's reality television franchise. Brooke is a passionate mental health advocate and champion of young people, especially First Nations and queer youth, and all people of colour. Brooke developed her passion for mental health advocacy as a youth worker by reflecting on her own challenging journey and educating young people about essential life skills, including Aboriginal Mental Health First Aid. Brooke is an RUOK Ambassador, supports the Uluru Statement from the Heart via the Uluru Youth Network, and is a champion for LGBTIQ groups. She lives in Melbourne.

Larry Emdur

Larry Emdur

Despite his first TV job on Seven Nightly News at the age of 19, Larry Emdur was never going to be a conventional broadcast news journalist. Larry’s true calling has always been to connect, entertain, and, even in some small way, brighten the days of viewers at home. Long before locals started ordering oat-milk lattes, Larry spent his childhood and teenage years eating chiko rolls and pies, and surfing at what was then Sydney’s low-key Bondi Beach. Inspired by a close-knit family and old-fashioned manners, it’s Larry’s natural charisma and knockabout humour that’s seen him labelled TV’s Mr Nice Guy and one of Australia’s loveable larrikins.

Before becoming co-host of The Morning Show with Kylie Gillies, a Seven Network program that has dominated morning TV ratings for over 15 years, Larry was best known for hosting popular game shows including The Main Event, Wheel of Fortune and a record-breaking 1500 episodes of The Price is Right over three series and two decades. During this time Larry also became the first non-American to host segments of the iconic American version of The Price is Right. In 2021 Larry began hosting quiz show The Chase Australia, based on the hugely successful British ITV show of the same name. The Chase Australia dominates the all-important 5-6pm timeslot, and frequently reaches over 850,000 viewers each night. Back in 2015, at 50 years old, Larry was crowned Men’s Health Celebrity Man of the Year and became the magazine’s oldest ever cover guy – a title previously held by a then 45-year-old Hugh Jackman. In that year he also failed miserably on Dancing with the Stars, but he’d rather not talk about that.

Away from television, Larry has been heavily involved in charity work, partaking in countless events including two cross-country Variety club bashes, various charity motorcycle rallies, he’s been an ambassador for the Raise Foundation youth mentoring programme and sailed in three Sydney to Hobart yacht races to raise money for the Humpty Dumpty Foundation. In 2019 Larry produced and starred in a short film called Larry Time, about two naughty sisters who kidnap their Nan’s favourite game show host. Larry Time was a hit on the short film circuit and won numerous awards. In 2022, Larry became an author releasing his first book Happy As, published by HarperCollins.
