Mini-Comic Workshop

Alisha Jade is a Brisbane-based comics creator and the unstoppable force behind Petrie Press. Her major series, Seven has been collected in a kickstarted omnibus after being serialised in Oi Oi Oi magazine and her minicomics works are being distributed internationally by Sparkler Distro. Her work has also featured in several anthologies, including Fly the Colour Fantastica, as well as in featuring in and organising Starrytellers and Neither Here nor Hair. Her new minicomics collection Strathpine is out in 2019. Alisha also joins Supanova in running the Banksia Project, designed to empower upcoming local creators in comics. For her community work, Alisha was also awarded a Platinum Ledger Award.
