This is a free, online session as part of the Online Literature Festival. Presented in partnership with the Department of Education.
A.L. Tait, author of bestselling series The Mapmaker Chronicles and The Ateban Cipher, will inspire upper Primary students to write great stories. Everyone has a writing superpower, what's yours? This fun, inspiring and motivating session will give tips on everything from description to plotting, finding ideas to editing.

Allison Tait
Allison Tait (A. L. Tait) is the internationally published bestselling author of middle-grade adventure series The Mapmaker Chronicles, The Ateban Cipher and the Maven & Reeve Mysteries. Her books have been shortlisted for various awards including as Notables in the CBCA Children’s Book of the Year Awards, the Readings Children’s Book Prize and the Aurealis Awards for Best Children’s Fiction. A multi-genre writer with a career spanning magazine editing and feature writing, podcast hosting and production, teaching creative writing and extensive speaking engagement in schools and at festivals, Allison is the co-host of the top-rating Your Kid’s Next Read podcast, and former co-host of the So You Want To Be A Writer podcast. She lives on the south coast of New South Wales with her husband, two sons and a cheeky border collie.
