We are thrilled to welcome Zoe Pollock to the UPLIT team as our new Chief Executive Officer.
Zoe – an arts and cultural leader with more than a decade’s experience in creative production, development and fundraising, and stakeholder engagement – will take up her new role at UPLIT in December.
For six-and-a-half years, Zoe led the History Council of New South Wales to connect diverse audiences with history and heritage through a broad range of programming, including public lectures and innovative immersive events.
More recently, as Head of Development at Sydney Living Museums, Zoe built a network of engaged supporters and drove growth through strategic corporate partnerships, philanthropy and membership.
Zoe is keen to engage with Queensland’s thriving arts and cultural landscape and cultivate reading communities right across the state as UPLIT’s new Chief Executive Officer.
A qualified historian and passionate advocate for creating positive change through collaboration, we’re very pleased to have Zoe join us at an exciting time of invigorated strategic direction.
“I have a deep commitment to a strong and vibrant cultural sector that promotes stimulating debate and inspirational ideas. UPLIT is a fantastically dynamic organisation and I look forward to connecting writers and thinkers with diverse audiences through enriching and memorable experiences.”
Our Chairman Dominic McGann welcomed Zoe’s appointment and thanks Julie Beveridge, who has been Acting Chief Executive Officer since 2015, for her commitment and contribution to the organisation.
“Zoe brings impressive leadership skills and energy and we are delighted that she will be leading UPLIT forward. Julie has done an outstanding job of steering UPLIT through some important changes this year and she hands over an organisation that is in great shape and has a bright future."
