Faber Anthology Launch

Join Faber Writing Academy for the launch of the 2026 Faber Writing Anthology, hosted by Pip Smith and Emily O'Grady and featuring readings by submission-ready graduates of the selective Writing a Novel courses. Faber Writing Academy offers an annual program of online and in-person writing courses presented by Allen & Unwin and the prestigious UK publisher Faber & Faber.

Pip Smith
Pip Smith is the manager of the Faber Writing Academy, living and working on Wangal and Cammeraygal land. Her books include the novel, Half Wild, two picture books, and the recently published YA novel, The Pull of the Moon. She teaches the Writing a Novel program in Sydney.
Emily O’Grady
Emily O’Grady is the author of The Yellow House (2018) and Feast (2023). She holds a PhD in Creative Writing from Queensland University of Technology, and in 2024 was named one of The Sydney Morning Herald Best Young Australian Novelists.
