Raelee Lancaster

Raelee Lancaster

Raelee Lancaster is a writer/librarian based in Brisbane. Her creative writing crosses poetry, memoir, essay, criticism, and playwriting. She’s written for The Guardian, SBS Voices, The Griffith Review, The Big Issue, and more. As a librarian, Raelee’s research paper "Fact or Folklore? An Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Framework to Cataloguing Indigenous Knowledge" was published in the Journal of the Australian Library and Information Association. Raised on Awabakal land, Raelee is descended from the Wiradjuri and Biripi people.

Luke Patterson

Luke Patterson

Luke Patterson is a Gamilaroi poet, educator and musician living on Gadigal lands. His poetry has appeared in Cordite, Plumwood Mountain, Rabbit, Running Dog and The Suburban Review. You will also find his work in anthologies including NANGAMAY dream MANA gather DJURALI grow as well as Best of Australian Poems 2023. Luke’s research and creative pursuits are grounded in extensive work with First Nations and other community-based organisations across Australia.

Bebe Oliver

Bebe Oliver is a descendant of the Bardi Jawi people of the Kimberley region of Western Australia, and an award-winning writer based in Naarm. A leader in Aboriginal advancement, he is Chairperson of Blak & Bright First Nations Literary Festival, and a Board Director of Magabala Books, Australia’s leading Indigenous publishing house. A writer, poet, illustrator, speaker, and facilitator living on unceded Kulin land, Bebe's widely published work encompasses love, loss, identity, Aboriginal and gay existence, place, and Country. Bebe’s debut solo poetry collection is more than these bones (Magabala, 2023).

Melanie Saward

Melanie Saward

Melanie Saward is a proud Bigambul and Wakka Wakka woman. She is a writer, editor, and university lecturer based in Tulmur (Ipswich), Queensland. Her debut novel Burn was published by Affirm Press in 2023 and she’s also had work published in the literary journals Griffith Review, Meanjin, Overland, Kill Your Darlings, and has fiction published in the anthologies Flock: First Nations Stories Then and Now, and New Australian Fiction. Her first romantic comedy novel, Love Unleashed, will be published by Penguin Random House in August.
