Ali Berg
Life-long best friends, Ali Berg and Michelle Kalus, are known collectively as the Book Ninjas - together they run and direct the book promotion agency Books on the Rail. They distribute and review books on public transport services around Australia to delight commuters and share their love of reading. They are also the co-authors of The Book Ninja (Simon & Schuster) which has been sold to over 10 countries. They are currently writing their second book, While you were Reading.
Ali is creative director and co-founder of Melbourne-based marketing agency, Hedgehog Agency, and Michelle works as a primary school teacher at Camberwell Girls Grammar School, as well as a volunteer working with children and young adults living in Indigenous communities in NSW and Victoria.

Kristina Schulz
Kristina Schulz is the Children’s Publisher at the University of Queensland Press (UQP). UQP publishes a range of literary books, from literary fiction and non-fiction, to poetry, Indigenous writing and children’s books. Kristina has worked in various roles in publishing in Sydney, New York and London since 1999 and with authors such as Belinda Jeffrey, Nick Earls, Damon Young, Peter Carnavas, Rebecca Sparrow, Pat Flynn, Katherine Battersby and James Roy. She joined UQP in 2008.
