#Volunteering at BWF: What to Expect
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to volunteer at Brisbane Writers Festival!
BWF creates outstanding experiences that connect diverse communities through the power of words and writing. Presented each year, the Festival welcomes thousands of readers, writers and thought-leaders to ignite imaginations, ask big questions, showcase literature, and celebrate stories in all forms. BWF also presents a Schools and Families Program designed to present literary-inspired experiences for student-aged children and their teachers/guardians with relevant curriculum connections, and a Young Adult Program, a series of events celebrating the world of young adult fiction.
BWF could not take place without the generosity of our team of volunteers whose invaluable commitment allows us to deliver a spectacular event year after year.
BWF provides a supportive and friendly environment for you to enjoy a rewarding volunteer experience, as you:
- Meet liked-minded people
- Learn new and valuable skills
- Network with other readers, writers, and thinkers
- Receive a Certificate of Participation
Volunteer opportunities before and during the festival are available across a range of areas:
- Pre-festival administration
- Greenroom Assistant
- Front of House
- Marketing Assistant/Survey Collector
- Book Signing
- Event set-up and pack down
