Diane Lucas

Diane Lucas came to live in Kakadu in 1983. Her connections with First Nations people and country, and having children, has greatly influenced and inspired her life and writing. She has 7 children's books and a CD of songs published, and poetry and songs in anthologies for children.

Her latest book (in collaboration with Ben Tyler and Emma Long) was published in June '21: Walking in Gagudju Country- exploring the Monsoon Forest.

Diane continues to give workshops in schools to inspire the writing of songs, stories, verse & theatre.
