Kip is a quiet kid in a loud city. She's easy to miss and that's the way she likes it.
Then, one day, Kip's quiet life is suddenly interrupted. Ten of her favourite characters have stepped out of their worlds and into hers.
But what happens when a dragon-hunting rabbit leaves his comic strip? When an old man leaves his picture book? When a ninja leaves her TV show, a race-car driver leaves their video game, and a dinosaur turns up from Kip's nightmares?
Word Play Season Pass
In 2021, BWF is offering multi-event passes for our Word Play program. Families and individuals can access a Season Pass for all Word Play events. Schools can purchase pass for all primary school sessions, all secondary school sessions, or all sessions (primary and secondary).
With one pass you can watch the sessions as many times as you like until Sunday 11 July, 2021 on up to five devices in your home or school.

All titles featured in our 2021 Word Play program are available from the Library Shop at the State Library of Queensland. Our price includes a special discount and includes postage. Purchase individual titles from the Library Shop at SLQ, online or on-site during the Festival.
We have three book packs available for purchase alongside Word Play tickets or for purchase as a standalone item. Prices include postage:
