Hilary Bambrick

Professor Hilary Bambrick is Head of QUT’s School of Public Health and Social Work and a Councillor with Australia’s independent Climate Council. She is an environmental epidemiologist and bioanthropologist whose work centres on climate impacts and adaptation for health. She led the health impacts assessment for Australia’s national climate change review (The Garnaut Review) and consults for government and international organisations. She has worked in Australia, Asia, the Pacific and Africa on projects ranging in scale from local community-based adaptation to building national health systems resilience.
