In the summer of 1968, Evelyn Lynden is a woman at war with herself. Enter the Reverend Jim Jones, the dynamic leader of the Peoples Temple. Woollett’s novel tells the story of those who were pulled into the destructive orbit of Jim Jones.

Laura Elizabeth Woollett
Laura Elizabeth Woollett is the author of a short story collection, The Love of a Bad Man (2016), and a novel, Beautiful Revolutionary (2018). In 2017, The Love of a Bad Man was shortlisted for the Victorian Premier's Award for Fiction and the Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction.
Woollett was the recipient of a 2017 Asialink arts residency and a 2018 Neilma Sidney Literary travel grant.
She is currently based in Melbourne and is working on her next novel.
