Ticketing Fees & Charges
Booking and Transaction fees apply and will be visible in the purchase path once you select your preferred performance, and before you pay. Fees of up to 1.7% apply for credit card sales.
Concession prices are available for children under the age of 16, full-time students, Health Care Card holders and Pensioner Concession Card holders. Proof of concession eligibility may be required at point of sale and upon entering venues.
Companion Card holders
Companion Card holders qualify for a complimentary ticket for their companion. Please contact the Brisbane Writers Festival directly on 07 3216 0694 for assistance with your booking.
COVID-19 Ticket Terms & Conditions for Refunds
Book with confidence - don't let the current COVID-19 restrictions stop you from reserving the best seats at our on-site events in May.
If an event is cancelled due to government health department restrictions you will receive a full ticket refund, including booking and transaction fees.

Providing a safe environment for our Artists, Patrons and Staff is of the utmost importance. Please do not attend any of the Brisbane Writers Festival venues if:
- You are suffering COVID-19
- You have tested positive to COVID-19
- You are awaiting COVID-19 test results
- You believe you have been exposed to COVID-19, or
- You have been advised to or are required to self-isolate or quarantine.
If you cannot attend your event for the above reasons, please contact the Brisbane Writers Festival by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: 07 3216 0694. We ask that you contact us as soon as you become aware it is not safe for you to attend, and by 9am on the day of the event to discuss.
No refunds will be given after the event starts.
