Nardi Simpson is a Yuwaalaraay writer, musician, composer and educator from North West NSW freshwater plains. A founding member of Indigenous folk duo Stiff Gins, Nardi has been performing nationally and internationally for 20 years. Song of the Crocodile was a 2018 winner of a black&write! writing fellowship.
Grace Lucas-Pennington is an Aboriginal (Bundjalung) editor specialising in fiction and poetry. Grace is the Senior Editor at State Library of Queensland’s black&write! Indigenous Writing and Editing Project.
Nardi and Grace will discuss their collaboration on Nardi's debut novel, issues of representing Indigenous experience, cultural considerations when working with Indigenous writers and stories.
