#About the event
This is an online event, streamed live on the Brisbane Writers Festival YouTube page or by clicking on the video below. It was originally filmed and broadcast at 8pm, Friday the 5th of June, 2020.
BWF is thrilled to start presenting incredible conversations online in 2020. We hope they bring joy and comfort as we all navigate through this time of reshaping our world, now and post Covid-19. Humanity is in the thick of it right now and we all need stories, ideas and rituals for finding beauty, wonder and awe in daily life. Our inner landscapes have been challenged with isolation and uncertainty. And so for our first conversation of 2020 we are so proud to present Sasha Sagan, author of For Small Creatures Such as We.
Daughter of Ann Druyan and Carl Sagan, Sasha grew up immersed in the belief that the natural world and vast cosmos are full of beauty. When Sasha became a mother, she began her own search for meaningful rituals and looked into the already well established rituals of people all over the planet. This conversation will be on her reflections for finding wonder.
Please join us for a beautiful evening of conversation, presented by Michaela Kalowski as we all delve into the vastness of humanity’s ever present need for connection and wonder.
