Duration: 180 minutes
This workshop will focus on the development of the short story, from initial conception to the work of putting words on the page. We will look at the value of sketching, observational work and the use of the writer's journal. We will also discuss the 'seed' that is often at the heart of a short story and how it often remains the heart of a good short story. Other issues covered will include point-of-view, emotional resonance and dramatic intention.
The workshop will be suitable to writers of all levels.
